EP Update

Hey guys,

Sorry its been a while since the last update but things have been very busy with the SCH-1 construction. After several delays ranging from wrogn sized containers through to someone selling one we had already bought we have our container, its onsite and well on its way to being complete. We have a few photos of the container which will be posted on the site over the next few weeks but heres one from a few weeks ago to tide you over.

We are also in the final stages of our kickstarter project and it will be going live in the next week or so. We hope that Inhabitat will publish a follow up article to help promote the project and we will be releasing the first of 4 10minutes videos about the container construction on our youtube channel so keep an eye on the blog to find a link to all of those.

In an exciting development we will also be making a few bespoke peices of furntiture using the left over aluminium from the very first SCH-1. These will be one off peices which will each be hand made and can be customised if you pre order. We hope to make several different sized sofas and atleast 1 armchair. Keep an eye on the site and our kickstarter page when it goes live to find out how to order one.

Coming Soon

Hey guys,

Thank you all for visiting the site, its been a crazy week since the article was published on inhabitat, its particularly cool seeing my work posted on blogs i was looking at whilst researching container home construction. We are currently working on a set of plans which should be available for sale, this is because it would be extremely un-eco friendly to build a container here with local materials and then send them halfway across the world, it also makes things more expensive for you the customer. So hopefully within the next month there should be a small store on the site which will be selling plans for the SCH-1 to begin with and then other designs later on. Each set of plans will come with a license agreement for the construction of a single residential build and once we have completed works on the holiday let we will be adding in a dvd with instructions on key points in the build.

At the other end of the budget we also have some T-shirts coming soon so keep an eye on the site the be one of the first people to buy our wonderful tshirts!

Eco Pig Designs goes Global!
